What do I need to start keeping two infants at my home for friends?

I am about to begin keeping two infants in my home for a couple friends. I would like to know if anyone out there has any start-up advice! I am certified in CPR/First Aid and have a degree in Childcare.

1. Two small dog cages. :)
2. Check with your state. If your friends will be paying you, you may be required to get a license.
3. get a swing or a bouncer deffinitely if there still small enough a playpen would be a big help too
4. Get a swing for sure! Those last for almost a year with babies. A boppy would be a good idea, as would an exersaucer. I'd make sure you have a bottle case for the dishwasher and a good diaper pail. A playmat might also be a good idea. Baby Einstein videos are priceless for infants. Also, you'll need to determine how the parents will supply you with formula, diapers, etc.
5. A empty shelf in the refrigerator, at least one playpen, swing, high chair, crib or bassinet, extra diapers (the brand they usually use) extra formula (the kind they use). A soft clean blanket they can lay on the floor on & play with some toys. A couple of books to read to them, a place to rock & snuggle with them in. Some soothing music (classical is great) and most of all one piece of advice....NEVER tell a new Mom when their child does something for the first time with you. Always let the first time Mom sees it be their "first". Like if the baby crawls to you, or sits alone, or takes a step. Those are some of the most precious events for a Mom & Dad. If you don't tell them they will never know and won't feel guilty, jealous, or depressed about missing it. Especially if they HAVE to work to make ends meet. This is one of the most special gifts you can give to them. It was for me when mine were babies and I had to work. I can't tell you how much those things ment to us.....and our sitter never told us...after our third I figured it out on my own....and love her more for her compassion and insight than I can tell you.
